We are seeking a self-motivated Associate to join our Secondary Investment team in Singapore to lead principal functions including investment analysis, due diligence, investment recommendation, negotiation, and monitoring.
This position will be a hybrid work arrangement.
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
· Capable of leading smaller transactions from sourcing and analysis through closing
· Able to support senior investment professionals in larger transactions
· Independent but also a team player
What you will do:
· Perform in-depth analysis of potential secondary investments and present findings to senior investment professionals within the Secondary Team
· Maintain dialogue during a deal with sellers, agents and GPs as appropriate and build external relationships in the context of a deal for future investment opportunities
· Coordinate upfront legal and tax work, also between HarbourVest, seller, and any third party resources to close transactions
· Perform analysis as necessary to evaluate secondary investment performance: update calls with General Partners, financial statement analysis, attendance at annual meetings, and primary and secondary research as appropriate
· Assist in the writing of letters to investors for regular reporting and for fund investment updates
· Prepare annual meeting, reporting materials and assist in updating marketing materials
· Identify, contact, and introduce potential sellers to help drive deal flow
What you bring:
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Thorough knowledge of private equity markets and financial expertise
· Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
