Job Description:
As the Transport/Technical Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of freight traffic operations within the Changi Airfreight Centre. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong understanding of logistics, transportation management, and operational efficiency to ensure smooth and cost-effective movement of goods. Your key responsibilities will include:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the freight traffic department to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including airlines, ground handling agents, and regulatory bodies to optimize operations.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of transport and logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and control operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, including safety and security protocols.
- Implement and maintain robust safety and security measures to protect staff, cargo, and assets.
Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and report on the performance of the freight traffic operations.
- Use data and analytics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Customer Service:
- Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are met.
