Job Description
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, including printers, computers, projectors and other IT peripherals, helpdesk support to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, Microsoft Office, HR and Accounts Software applications, Adobe etc.
- Communicate with IT vendors for the maintenance and software license expiration.
- Liaise and negotiate with vendors on purchasing of office technical equipment, software required.
- Manage IT security such as installation and maintaining anti-virus for all desktops/laptops or IT devices and perform weekly data backup for all servers.
- Create LAN network and assign IP address when necessary.
- Cloning image and setting up of new PCs / notebooks such as creating email account, mailbox setup etc.
- Assist in setting up of CCTVs images in office premises and end users.
- Good technical knowledge of the latest operating systems & network protocols.
- Performing any other IT related duties (e.g. updating of company website).
- Maintaining software & Hardware Inventory and Proper Documentation.
- Developing new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
- Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups.
- Creating rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
- Constructing and implementing plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
- Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
- Staying up to date with new network technology and reporting this information to the executive team each quarter.
- Working closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 operating systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, 2010 and Microsoft Outlook email client.
- Strong decision-making skills, problem solving, critical thinking, advanced leadership and good communication skills.
- Good analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, initiative, honest and responsible, excellent attention to detail.
- Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (ex: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
- Able to work immediately.
- At least Diploma/Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Possessing CompTIA, A+, MCTS is at an advantage.
