Job Descriptions:
- Act as the Company’s representative with the client, engineer/consultant and selected subcontractors during the execution of projects;
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors;
- Ensure a comprehensive, active and well-recorded liaison between project, consultant engineer & subcontractors;
- Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required;
- Provide leadership and direction to all project operations, including mobilization of equipment, site facilities, staffing, scheduling of in-house self performed and / or subcontracted works;
- Monitor work progress on a day-to-day basis to ensure conformity with schedule, contract documents and project budgets;
- Manage multiple resources and maintain current knowledge of project and respond to admin and technical inquiries;
- Schedule, attend, and participate in all projects construction meetings;
- Prepare and write construction project plans (CPPs), method statements, risk assessments and proposals;
- Monitor general condition costs and maintain cost, productivities & budget controls;
- Exercise strict control over expenditures and initiate actions to bring them under control and provide input to regular construction progress reports to the company HQ;
- Assure compliance with contractual requirements and with the scope of work;
- Ensure all elements of plans and specifications meet cost and schedule requirements;
- Establish a proper document control system and ensure that the project staffs are trained to apply well developed control systems, programs and soft-wares;
- Develop methods of tracking materials and resources;
- Review contract/tendering documents, to ensure a thorough understanding of the contract requirements;
- Resolve any contractual/legal matters or complications and assure appropriate action is taken;
- Establish and maintain good relations with clients, partners and local authorities aimed at safeguarding and promoting company interests;
- Provides timely feedback and reports to management to demonstrate progress and enable control;
- Reviews and recommends staff and employee training programs, workshops, seminars and classes to facilitate development and improvement of competencies and proficiencies; and
- Be responsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time as your superior / Management deem fit.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mine tunnel exposed to confined space work environment
- Good technical and presentation skills
- Able to lead and work independently
- Efficient in software eg. CAD/BIM and P6
- Having work experience in cross passage, cavern mining, pipe box tunnel, ERS (shaft sinking caisson) and grouting works
