Job Purpose
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing accounting transactions and ensuring that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to the outlets. He/ She would be utilizing his/her vast knowledge of accounting principles to ensure that the company completely aligned with the rules of regulations in the respective jurisdictions.
2. Principal Accountabilities
2.1 Manage and oversee Accounting Team.
2.2 Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts operations.
2.3 Ensure that all queries are being responded to and dealt with correctly and in a timely manner.
2.4 Give support to the team with month and year-end closings.
2.5 Plans internal audits by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, processes, internal controls, and external regulations; identifying risk areas; preparing audit scope and objectives; preparing audit programs.
2.6 Assesses compliance with financial regulations and controls by executing audit program steps; testing general ledger, account balances, balance sheets, income statements, and related financial statements; examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
2.7 Assesses risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance; evaluating manual and automated financial processes; identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies and operational issues.
2.8 Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
2.9 Maintain proper record for the daily sales for all the outlets.
2.10 Control if the outlets are following the financial policies of Sunset Hospitality Group.
2.11 Make regular visits to the outlets for the purpose of internal audit.
2.12 Prepare monthly financial reporting and schedules.
2.13 Analyzing the monthly reports e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, cost report, sales reports etc.
2.14 Conducting financial analysis of the company.
2.15 Coordinate with the internal and external auditor to complete the yearly audit and other ad-hoc autids.
2.16 Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned by the manager.

3.1 Collaborates closely with the accounting team, suppliers and banks
3.2 Works closely with the Finance Manager
4. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
4.1 Bachelor degree in finance from a reputable university
4.2 Minimum 5 years of experience in the similar roles in the industry
4.3 Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations or other accounting designations
4.4 Knowledgeable of MS Office Applications
4.5 Good communication and interpersonal skills
4.6 Fluent in written and spoken English
4.7 Ability to work in a team environment and be able to manage a team of a diverse individuals
4.8 Detail oriented, attention to details
4.9 Can work under pressure
4.10 Good analytic skills
4.11 Excellent follow up skills and be able to resolve the issues as they arise
4.12 Ability to interact with suppliers, customers and guests
4.13 Strong problem solving skills
Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/receivable, general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate finance procedures
5. Physical Requirements of the job
The job of Chief Accountant may require long working hours and sitting in front of the computer
