Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance team, managing day-to-day financial operations, and help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines, including internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, and achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to legal standards while remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements in each country of operation.
- Oversees related party transactions, maximizing tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to the executives by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Maintains proactive and timely communication with government authorities where needed (e.g. EDB, IRAS).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business, Accounting/ Finance or similar discipline
- >10 years of relevant work experience in industry preferred (e.g. technology, financials related) as a senior-level accounting or finance controller/manager
- Strong understanding of the information technology industry
- Profound knowledge of national tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) is an advantage
- Mandarin Chinese knowledge is required, for communicating with various stakeholders across the company.
