Job Purpose
To win work by managing the needed commercial and technical responses to large scale and key client tendering requests on a global basis. The Asia Pacific Tender & Strategy Manager will manage the team resources in the most efficient and effective manner to ensure that these often complex deliverables are supplied in an on time, competitive, complete and compliant manner.
Utilising all available DHL IP and DHL Group assets to do so whilst also remaining vigilant for opportunities to create or promote unique selling points, value added services and means to drive commercial and operational efficiencies.
Key Tasks
-In-direct (functional) management of the pricing and commercial staff within Asia Pacific
- Tender opportunity appraisal, prioritisation, rationalisation and delivery
- Regular upward reporting and escalation as needed to Senior Management Team
- Taking a leading role and direct responsibility for commercial and technical submissions including client presentations and clarification meetings
- Managing subcontractor engagements and ensuring best pricing availability
- Internal and cross Business Unit collaboration and leveraging
- Winning work and providing comprehensive handovers

Education/Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
- Experience from a project forwarding or project industry background of at least 10 years
- Regional/Global exposure to bidding of projects
- A solid understanding is required of the bidding cycle for large scale capital projects
- Experience of Industrial Project Market required for the major sectors including O&G, Petrochemical, Renewables and Power
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Work experience in the Asia Pacific region would be a distinct advantage
