Job Description:
Project Development and Management
- Define project scope, objectives, and expected outcomes.
- Develop project plans that outlines the approach, timeline, resource requirements, and key deliverables.
- Set expectations for periodic and milestones reviews including status report, project risk identification and other dashboards.
- Work with subject matter experts to detail out requirements and tasks of the project.
- Perform risk assessment and risk management with deliverables and related systems/services
- Implement process improvements to reduce development time and assist in the integration of complex business factors.
- Provide timely report on project’s milestones, issues and progress.
Operations
- Review Chamber's IT architecture, including networks, servers, data back-up and cloud services, etc.
- Review operations of the Chamber's technology infrastructure and application services across all departments.
- Develop, update and manage IT policies that align with the Chamber’s objectives.
- Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of software, data management systems, cybersecurity and other relevant technology solutions.
- Develop effective data security measures to minimize business risks, and to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage outsourced vendors to ensure that contractual obligations are met, and risks are properly mitigated and managed.
- Review Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) programs.
- Support audit compliance and risk management development.
- Prepare and review monthly audit reports on Chamber’s systems.
Workplan and Budgeting
- Manage the budgeting of key projects e.g. liaising with departments to identify key projects alignment to strategic roadmap.
- To have visibility on approved IT workplans and ensure workplan is carried out.
- Develop, oversee and manage the IT contracts, budget and procurement function.
Others
- Liaise with other departments and system users to ensure smooth integration of technology into operation processes and workflows.
- Any other duties / projects as required to perform the role from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 8 years within the IT industry, inclusive of at least 3 years in a technical role
- Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architecture, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate complex requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of management, users and vendors.
- Must be a good team player, proactive in nature, fast learner, highly organised and positive attitude.
- Certification in PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage.
