Responsibilities
- Deliver solution designs with high quality and high performance requirements
- Provide detailed estimation for development of solutions
- Perform non-functional testing
- Perform design and code review for other team members
- Mentor junior team members
- Prepare technical documentation for design and implementation
- Develop the team and project’s data capabilities - share knowledge, enforce best practices and encourage data-driven decisions
Qualifications and Profile
Work Experience
- At least 8 years in Java/J2EE development
- At least 3 years of experience in Apache Spark development
- Strong experience with Cloud-native applications using Docker & Kubernetes
Technical
- Hands on experience on Apache Spark
- A strong understanding of recent Java language features, such as lambdas, streams, and futures
- Experience in distributed caching with Apache Ignite
- Solution design using proven patterns, awareness of anti-patterns, performance tuning
- Java/J2EE 9, Spring, Spring MVC/Struts/JSF, Java script, JQuery
- Relational databases – MSSQL
- Issue/Backlog Management - Jira, GIT, Azure DevOps
- Code Repository Management –GIT, TFS Azure DevOps
- Build Tools - Maven, Websphere MQ, Jenkins/Azure DevOps
The following skills and experiences is a plus
- Experience in Spark streaming and Kafka
- Knowledge in AWS and other Cloud platform
