Job Description

Business Development, Key Accounts and Strategic Accounts Management

  • Initiate, develop and establish a long-term partnership with companies, aligned with the overall business development strategy of the NUS Business School
  • Through continuous engagement efforts, increase awareness of all postgraduate programmes, targeting specific sectors and companies with the aim of bringing in internship and job opportunities
  • Maintain and engage key and strategic accounts in assigned sectors (eg. Technology, Financial Services)
  • Identify and develop potential new accounts focusing on the hiring of experienced postgraduates

Global Careers Initiative

  • Identify and develop potential new markets for industry engagements
  • Dive deep into career opportunities for designated key regions (Middle East, SE Asia)

Events (in-person and virtual)

  • Curate and organise industry engagement events (such as recruitment talks and information sessions) for experienced postgraduates’ students
  • Champion MBA networking events (eg. Annual networking, Mentorship Appreciation)
  • Co-lead weekly MBA Connect and MSc Global Connect sessions
  • Actively participate in any other ad hoc events which may arise

Industry Insights Sharing

  • Keep abreast of industry and employment trends, to provide regular information pertaining to job search strategies and assessment methods
  • Develop industry guides and content and deliver presentations on assigned sectors, to provide students with the latest updates of the hiring trends, and tips on assessment methods
  • Collaborate with student clubs to increase their exposure to the business world

Internship and Job Opportunities

  • Achieve a targeted number of internship and job opportunities made available to MBA students and experienced MSc students
  • Source for and promote Leadership Development programmes to MBAs where relevant
  • Aim to profile every full-time MBA student for internships and jobs
  • Student engagement: partner with BIZCareers colleagues in outreach and engagement with students

Internal Stakeholders Engagement and Collaborations

  • Close collaboration with stakeholders across various BIZ departments (eg programme offices, academic directors of programmes, alumni office, strategic relations, corporate communications) as well as colleagues within BIZCareers for the common goal of enhancing students’ experience and career outcomes

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified with at least 8 years’ experience; some of this would have been gained in business development/key account management in the services sector
  • Experience in executive recruitment, talent acquisition or career services would be an advantage
  • Good understanding of global and local hiring trends, with the ability to scout the market for untapped opportunities
  • Customer centric with strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-driven, has a positive ‘can do’ attitude, coupled with the maturity needed to engage mid-career postgraduate students
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with cross departmental stakeholders

(Appointment job grade will commensurate with the selected candidate's experience)
