Job Overview
An assistant manager in the risk advisory department is expected to assist his/ her superior to manage all claims matters which including but not limited to managing junior team members, ensuring timely and proper settlement of claims in accordance with the policy coverage and capable of resolving escalated issues arising from claims and requiring coordination with others (colleagues, clients, Insurers) to achieve objectives.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Teamwork – assisting colleagues during their absence
- Assisting the superior to ensure the claims team respond to their emails promptly
- Assisting the superior in managing and reviewing of claim registration to ensure that these are accurate
- Assisting the superior to ensure the claims team following up on their outstanding issues/ emails
- Assisting the superior to keep track of deadlines which had been undertaken by the claims team
- Assisting the superior to guide and supervise the claims team including monitor and monthly review of claims handled by them
- Annual claim review with VVIP customers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and industry requirements and codes
Specific Skills
- Better collaboration and coordination with colleagues from other departments
- Assisting in managing of claims team
- Able to conduct trainings for clients and TIB staff
