Assistant/Sales Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for acquisition and maintenance of all sales accounts. Continuously solicit for new business that expands the hotel’s client base.

2. Accomplish and meet targeted monthly and annual revenue goals set by the management.

3. Initiates sales activities such as sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, presentations, prospecting, proposals and closing sales.

4. Creates excellent guest and client relationships through attention to detail, follow up with a personalized touch and empathy for customer perceptions and needs.

5. Responses completely and quickly to customers’ inquiries. All enquiries to be handled as per hotel’s standard operating procedures.

6. Prepares correspondence to customers and internal booking reports.

7. Ensures proper maintenance of sales files and client contact.

8. Participates and coordinates promotional, overseas sales trip, trade shows or any other assignment.

9. Demonstrates a good working relationship with other departments with a high level of communication and co-operation in the interests of customer service and improvements in the working conditions of the hotel and department.

10. Actively participates in departmental meetings.

11. Supports overall hotel sales and marketing goals through participation in sales meeting and through co-operation and co-ordination with World Hotel’s sales representatives and sister hotels.

12. Responsible to carry out any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and department.


Requirements

1. Possesses a Diploma or Degree

2. Minimum 1-2 years’ relevant working experience in the hotel industry

3. Relevant room sales experience in the hospitality industry with proven sales track record

4. A mature, self-motivated, dynamic, meticulous and result oriented individual

5. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with a strong network

6. Possesses strong sales negotiation and presentation skills

7. Must be able and willing to travel overseas
