Institutional Credit Management (ICM) is a critical component of Citi’s First Line of defence for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities of the group include credit analysis and approvals, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and stress testing. ICM coordinates with credit management groups across ICG businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate

We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Vice President, Asia Portfolio Management Lead - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Credit Portf Senior Officer I - C14) based in Singapore. The CCR Credit Portfolio Senior Officer is a senior-level position responsible for managing the Portfolio Health Monitoring process across the trading and banking book. Involves conducting credit portfolio reviews, and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration and emerging risks in coordination with the Underwriting and Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally.

In this role, you’re expected to:

Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance from Group Leadership, develop & implement the strategy, governance framework, policies, procedures & practices for Portfolio Management, across all countries and business lines in APAC
  • Develop and implement frameworks for portfolio risk assessment including evaluation of credit and financial performance across varied Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) products and industry segments
  • Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and the requisite impact of those governance items to prospective new partners or product initiatives
  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
  • Prepare risk management presentations for senior management that include analytics on expected portfolio performance and areas of potential risk and/or opportunity
  • Regulatory and Senior Management interactions - managing Citi’s response to queries from regulators that involve APAC portfolio across risk stripes. Prepare and present responses to requests and queries from regional ang global senior management related to APAC portfolio
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
