Volunteer Manager
The Volunteer Manager is responsible for driving efforts in volunteer recruitment, training, retention and appreciation to provide positive volunteer experiences to achieve the mission of the organisation.
Job Responsibiities
- Develop, implement strategies for actively soliciting new volunteers and engaging existing volunteers
- Work in collaboration with Communications and Partnerships Team to engage corporate and community partners to create an awareness of volunteerism and provide meaningful volunteering opportunities for the stakeholders
- Manage the volunteer management database and suggest data-driven insights for management reporting and strategizing
- Forecast volunteer requirements for programmes in alignment with the goals of the organisation and plan accordingly.
- Plan interventions to attract and retain new volunteers through creating a volunteer journey that recognises and appreciates volunteers
Requirements/ Skills
- Developing programme goals and policies
- Creating Volunteer handbooks, training manuals, and other programme materials
- Good interpersonal skills
- Able to multi-task and work well with a diverse group of professionals from the public and private sectors
- Experience with volunteer management and/ or in the social sector preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Event coordination and management experience (physical and digital events) is a plus
- Organized and detail-oriented, yet able to think big-picture
- Self-motivated, resourceful, strong team player with good cross-organizational collaborative skills
