Job Description
Performance of project management services specifically limited to the delivery of the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package.
WTG package services shall consist of:
- WTG package design
- WTG package procurement
- WTG package manufacture
- WTG construction and installation
- WTG commissioning
- Handover of WTG’s to operations team
Project Management services to include requirement to:
- Identify resource needs, request and secure resources with relevant competencies for all package scopes.
- Facilitate collaboration between package team members and their interaction with other project packages.
- Lead project meetings and participate in relevant cross project meetings, and ensuring information from such meetings is disseminated to the package team.
- Ensure that HSE is managed and considered throughout the project by all package team members.
- Oversee the design process through working closely with WTG engineering team. The services are for project management of this activity and not for the delivery of the WTG design itself.
- Coordinate with other package project managers to manage interfaces in conjunction with project interface management team.
- Prepare specific gate deliverables at project key milestones.
- Prepare all relevant project management documentation covering management of scope, budget, resources, programme, quality, communication and risk.
- Update, monitor and control budget (CAPEX), time schedule, cost and quality in accordance with above
- In cooperation with procurement manager(s), manage contracts, variation orders and claims.
- Identify, analyse and manage project risks.
- Plan reviews, inspections, campaigns, tests and other QA and HSE activities in cooperation with project/package QA and HSE managers.
- Continuously control and report progress, time and cost.
- Ensure documentation of works and smooth transition to O&M.
Requirements
- A degree in electrical/automation engineering or higher
- Minimum 10 years of package management experience (EPCI) of working on offshore wind installation projects and specifically of the wind turbine supply and installation scopes of works
- Experience in WTG tendering & supplier selection process, (covering commercial, technical, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and O&M topics), negotiation of agreements with suppliers such as preferred supplier agreement, design contract, turbine supply agreement and service maintenance agreement
- Experience in planning and executing electrical measurement campaigns on wind turbines according to IEC 61400-21 standards
