Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and applications, using monitoring tools like Splunk, Nagios, SolarWinds, or Zabbix.
- Set up and configure alerts to detect anomalies, performance issues, or security breaches.
- Respond to alerts and incidents promptly, identifying the root cause of issues.
- Escalate critical issues to the appropriate teams or stakeholders for resolution.
- Document incidents, their impact, and the steps taken to resolve them.
- Analyze system performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing system performance and reliability.
Job Requirements:
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in using monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Datadog, or similar.
- IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Scripting: Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automating monitoring tasks and incident response.
- Networking: Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience in monitoring and managing IT systems in a large-scale environment.
- Prior experience in IT operations, system administration, or network management is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and escalation.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
