The Role
Reporting to the FC, you will lead a team and be responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations including group consolidation, treasury as well as management reporting. You will play a key role in supporting on budgeting, forecasting as well as analysis of potential risks and opportunities for the business.
Job Responsibilities
· Responsible for Financial Planning & Analysis for the Group
· Provide effective analysis of monthly Group results (P&L & Balance Sheet) against budget and previous year, including reporting on business performance metrics
· Monitor and analyse current and past trends in financial performance at Group and asset level and key performance indicators including revenue, EBIT and cashflow
· Drive quarterly cashflow projections, rolling forecasts, estimates and budget preparation and analysis reports for reporting to senior management and directors, including underlying key assumptions/drivers and trend analysis.
· Review of the Group's monthly forecast submissions from various business units and provide insightful assessment on the forecast reasonableness.
· Drive corporate deliverables for management reporting submissions from business units
· Work closely with finance team supporting the business units on performance analysis.
· Prepare parameters of key performance indicators (KPIs) for CEO & HODs for measurement and evaluation
· Assist in preparation of annual report
· Undertake finance-related projects on process improvements and automatiion as required
· Prepare and ensure timely and accurate monthly consolidated financial statements and accounts schedules
· Reviewing Subsidiary and Consolidation Accounts: Maintaining financial integrity across the group.
· Navigating complex tax regulations.
· Review and implement procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as management of internal controls
· Liaise with external and internal auditors, tax agents and lawyers to support audit, tax and other statutory requirements
· Valuation Expertise: Engaging with valuers on PPA reports and call/put options.
· GST Returns and XBRL Filing: Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Regularly reconcile and eliminate intercompany balances
· Handling internal audit and sustainability reporting
Job Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will possess a degree in Accountancy or ACCA with the following relevant experience:
· Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualifications
· At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in group consolidation (including joint ventures, NCI, etc), treasury management as well as budgeting and forecasting
· Preferably with 4-5 years experience in Big 4 audit firms or SGX-listed companies (minimum mid-cap sized)
· Strong knowledge of IFRS or USGAAP
· Proven managerial exposure
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Committed, proactive and hands-on team player with an eye for details and multi tasking abilities
· Strong interpersonal skills and able to engage different stakeholders
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organisational skills with ability to work independently
· Possess strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint
