Finance Manager (Venture Capital)
Our client is a rapidly growing VC looking for a dynamic and driven Finance Manager to join their team. The role reports to the Head of Finance and is based in the company's global headquarters in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Oversight and Reporting:
- Lead financial, accounting, and tax operations for our investment and management entities.
- Oversee daily finance and accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely operations.
- Coordinate with external service providers and supervise junior team members for effective financial management.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and currency analysis, and liaise with financial institutions.
- Generate quarterly and annual financial statements for internal use and shareholder reporting.
- Ensure precise reporting within financial systems and support the Head of Finance in optimizing finance operations.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on regulatory and filing obligations.
- Assist with investment-related processes including funding and post-closing activities.
- Manage regulatory compliance and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee financial monitoring and reporting for portfolio entities.
- Analyze financial performance metrics to assess impacts on investments and forecasts.
- Stay informed about developments within portfolio companies for valuation and strategic purposes.
- Support the establishment and operation of accounting and tax functions for new portfolio entities.
- Act as a financial advisor to portfolio companies, helping to develop finance systems and policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar role and industry. Big4 Audit experience highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of accounting standards, particularly in financial instruments, consolidation, and investment entities.
- Strong skills in financial management, business analytics, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software systems (Xero).
- Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities, well-organized, and adept at managing multiple priorities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Able to work independently, proactive and detail-oriented.
