Brief Description
Field Supervisor (working supervisor) works effectively in the field under the instruction of Operation Executives and Managers, overseas the safety of AmSpec’s on-site duty inspectors and supervise field inspectors to perform competently Quantity and Quality inspection of bulk liquid / gas cargoes. Perform and act in accordance with the Company Standard of Practice independently.
Tasks including but not limited to:
- Attend or at time when required to supervise inspection team for Loading, Discharging, Shipboard blending, Ship to Ship Transfer of bulk liquid product, crude and gas Custody Transfer operations.
- Competently mentor, guide / coach field inspectors with required inspection’s Quantity and Quality control measures to achieve service excellence.
- Required to achieve Company’s objectives in carrying out inspection without sacrificing the quality and service of the Company.
- Responsible for following detailed instructions provided by Operation Executives of their areas of work.
- Check with Scheduler for job assignment.
- Report checking in the office as detailed by Scheduler as and when required.
- Review of job files prior to inspection in ensuring all instructions are clearly understood and details are in order.
- Ensure all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared to perform the inspection.
- Carry out proper reference sampling of various liquid and gas cargoes.
- Carry out inspections on shore tanks, ship tanks, gas tanks and ascertain volume and weight of cargo according to AmSpec’s standard method of calculation.
- Monitor and report any irregularities and occurrences not according to AmSpec’s standard practice to respective Superintendent or Operation Executives.
- Delegate duties to inspectors working with him. Compile and check field report before final submission to office.
- Keep respective OE & Manager updated on the daily activities in the terminal including special circumstances / problems encountered during inspection.
Requirement:
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the testing & inspection industry preferably oil & gas.
- Minimum Diploma in Chemical engineering.
- Good understanding & knowledge of refinery operations relating to inspections activities.

- Salary commensurate with experience & skills.
- Candidates with short notice would be an advantage.
Salary Range: $3,000 to $6,000 (including allowances)
