Position Mission (responsibilities & expectations):-
- To trade grain globally and secure emerging food demand in Asia Pacific market.
- To market to customers in Asia Pacific by operating grain cash, Futures and ocean freight.
- To manage related risks including market, credit and performance risk to secure sustainable business.
- To support to seek investment opportunities of grain logistics and processing in South East Asia
Geographical scope:-
Singapore, Asia Pacific, Tokyo HQ, North America, South America, Australia
Key responsibilities:-
- To contribute as a member of the grain team by establishing relationships while ensuring grain supply network with customers in Southeast Asia, which is our key market, in order to generate profits through grain trading. Additionally, to collaborate with global Mitsui's grain network of grain exporters to create trading opportunities while ensuring a reliable grain supply network and contribute to the overall enhancement of Mitsui’s value on a global scale.
- To support and be responsible for executing trading operations, including cash (grain procurement and sales) and futures trades, as well as logistics (bulk cargoes and containers), and to improve our price competitiveness.
- To implement risk management policies and compliant to relevant laws, regulations and industry standards related to grain trading and ensuring that contracts are negotiated and settled within these guidelines as main PIC for execution of contracts.
Selection criteria:-
- Educational qualification:Bachelor’s Degree
- Min 3 – 5 years of experience in business
- Required to travel 1-2 times/month
- Good Team Player
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic Word/Excel/Power Point skills
- Bulk cargo and/or commodity trade experience
- Resourceful and good analytical skills
