Job Description:
As a Project Supervisor, you will oversee and manage construction and electrical installation projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a strong leader with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of electrical installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.
Develop and maintain project schedules, including coordinating with other trades and subcontractors.
Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Team Supervision: Lead, manage, and motivate on-site teams, including electricians, subcontractors, and laborers.
Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor work quality to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Provide training and support to team members as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work is being performed to the required standards and address any issues promptly.
Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to senior management.
- Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on all project sites.
Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure that all workers use the correct personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or queries.
Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Resource Management: Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment required for electrical installation projects.
Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, permits, inspection reports, and daily logs.
Ensure all project activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and company policies.
Assist in the preparation of project closeout documents, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical installations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of construction safety practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
