Sales Assistance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries, and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Sales Transactions: Operate the cash register, handle cash and card payments, and issue receipts.
  • Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and organize stock; ensure shelves are stocked and products are properly displayed.
  • Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and tidy, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing shelves and displays.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, report low inventory to management, and help with inventory checks and restocking.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about store products and promotions to effectively assist customers and suggest items.
  • Customer Feedback: Address and resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with other staff members to ensure smooth store operations and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: SPM, O Level or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
    • Customer Service: Friendly and approachable demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
    • Numeracy: Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
    • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate stock records and ensure product displays are neat and attractive.
    • Multitasking: Capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, especially during busy periods.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move merchandise, and perform light physical tasks such as stocking shelves.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
