MDD, a premier global forensic accounting firm, is looking for a Business Development Director to fuel our expansion and enhance our client network.

With over forty offices across five continents, we manage a wide range of complex assignments, including insurance claims, commercial litigation, family law disputes, fraud investigations, and more. Our team provides expert witness testimony and extensive litigation support worldwide.


Role Overview

As a Business Development Director at MDD, you will play a key role in driving growth in the Asia Pacific markets covering a geographic area from the UAE through to New Zealand. You will be critical to developing and maintaining client relationships, collaborating with our teams in country, and generating new business through cross selling our diverse service offerings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities in the assigned regions.
  • Engage with clients to introduce and promote our range of services.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MDD and Davies sales and relationship teams.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with MDD in country teams, currently including Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, UAE, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Keep comprehensive records of pipeline activities and client interactions in our CRM system.
  • Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities.
  • Facilitate internal cross-sell and client engagement calls to boost collaboration.
  • Work with marketing to ensure external activities align with our growth strategy.
  • Presentation, management, and oversight of budget for BD activities and plan related to the role.
  • Promote the "One Team" approach both internally and externally.

Travel Expectations

Travel will be required throughout the region based on the business development strategies put in place.


Qualifications

While specific requirements are flexible, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in sales or relationship management within professional services.
  • Knowledge of the insurance / legal markets in Asia Pacific is not essential but will be an advantage.
  • A deep understanding of client needs and how to address them effectively.
  • Strong abilities in influencing, negotiating, and guiding client decision-making in an Asian context.
  • A proven history of building and maintaining senior-level relationships based on trust and credibility.
  • Experience managing growth plans with ambitious financial targets.
  • Knowledge of the insurance market is preferred.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Additional relevant language skills are a plus as it can facilitate relationship building with clients in certain markets.
