Our client is the integrated agribusiness and food company. It is one of Asia’s largest privately owned agribusinesses with production facilities across eight countries in Asia. Its parent company (corporate HQ) is publicly listed on one of the stock exchanges in SEA.
The Role
Reporting to AVP Financial Controller, you shall be hands-on with the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the entities in charge with the support of an Accounts Executive based in overseas (i.e. corporate HQ).
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly accounts closing, ensure adherence to accounting requirements
- Handles AR, AP, GL functions for multiple entities
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation, financial analysis and reconciliation
- Prepare intercompany billings, and monthly intercompany reconciliation
- Support coordination to ensure payments are appropriately and timely processed
- Prepare monthly financial statements, account analysis and Group reporting
- Prepare management reports and variance analysis for report to the FP&A team
- Assist with financial year-end statutory accounting and audit requirements
- Support in the preparation of GST & corporation tax returns, and tax compliance requirements
- Prepare AR Aging report, payment forecast and support cash management
- Supervise junior Accountants on financial reporting of the companies
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support coordination of yearly accounting procedures
- Support implementation of Group policies, and ensure compliance to Financial Reporting Standards
- Contribute and/or drive streamlining of processes to improve efficiency and quality of data/reports
- Ensure proper document filings and undertake other ad-hoc assignments as assigned
Your Profile
- A well-recognised degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in full set accounting, preferably in the manufacturing sector
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight timelines effectively
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and the ability to work independently
- Proactive and can collaborate well with others
