As the Head of BD, you will drive the strategic growth for the business by identifying and securing new business opportunities, forging key partnerships, and expanding our market presence. This role requires a deep understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, a strong network within the industry, and a proven track record of business development success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth, including market expansion, partnerships, and new product offerings.
- Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships and alliances with key industry players, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats. Use insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand business relationships with existing clients. Drive initiatives to increase market share and revenue.
- Manage and mentor a team of business development professionals. Set clear goals and performance metrics to ensure the team’s success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Track and report on business development metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth. Use data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive understanding of the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, including market trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive dynamics.
- Strong business development skills with a proven track record of achieving growth targets and securing high-value partnerships.
- Well-established network within the cryptocurrency and financial services sectors.
- Experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and influence stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, with at least 3 years in the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
- Hyper-scale tech/SaaS experience.
- Proven track record of driving business growth and establishing strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency trading and exchange operations.
