Job Summary:
The Costing Accountant is responsible for analyzing and reporting on the company's product costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses. This role involves developing and maintaining cost models, performing cost analysis, and providing insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost models for products and services
- Analyze and report on product costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses
- Perform cost analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for cost improvement
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Provide training and support to junior accountants
Primary Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cost accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in the food industry will be useful for daily work use
Nice to Have:
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field
- Certified Cost Accountant (CCA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and cost accounting software
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and cost reduction techniques
