Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and review of Group consolidation, reporting (statutory and management that focus on disclosures and presentation, ratios, variances analysis and disposal accounting) on monthly, quarterly and year end reporting.
- Prepare monthly consolidation results for the Board i.e. slides and commentary report
- Prepare and review supporting schedules for variance analysis for submission monthly and quarterly reporting
- Check to ensure Cognos data input, classification and product segment split by Business Units (BUs)
- Discuss and resolve accounting or Cognos issues raised by BUs
- Conduct regular training for the Group Statutory Reporting
- Prepare statutory mock account for the Group
- Prepare supporting documents for Annual Report’s notes to the accounts
- Co-ordinate with all BU on reporting requirements and to standardize business process and reporting templates
- Acquisition / disposal / liquidation of investment and to calculate group impact and prepare accounting entries
- Provide and collate financial and variance analysis to Group Corp Relations, FP&A, Group Treasury, etc.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA with 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably with some years of professional training (big 4 accounting firm or established consultancy firm)
- Strong in Accounting standard and Group consolidation
- Extremely strong in MS Excel skills preferably with presentation skills
- Excellent working knowledge in Cognos SAP and Business Intelligent Tools (BPC, BW etc)
