Key Responsibility Areas

1. Handle accounts and budget

  • Responsible for full set of accounts, daily accounting data entry and book keeping
  • Timely preparation of invoices, payments, processing of payment documents including receipts
  • Perform bank and other accounting related reconciliations
  • Documentation and maintaining financial records
  • Verification of all supplier's and vendor's invoices and payment instructions with appropriate documents
  • Process payments for expenses in accordance with approved budget
  • Audit of fixed assets and reconciliation
  • Preparation of audit and liaison on audit schedule. AR/AP ageing List, Accruals, Prepayment, Fixed Asset and any others relating to accounting matters. Liaise with external accountants for preparation of annual report and audit
  • Liaise with IRAS, NCSS, MSF and other Authority on financial matters
  • Assist with preparation of yearly budget and quarterly analysis budget variances

2. Perform donation-related financial activities

  • Ensure public donation / grants are correctly booked into account with its designated purpose.
  • Ensure proper handling of donation box and assist with cash counting.
  • Responsible for completion and timely submission of yearly donation record to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports and submission of IPC Donation Receipts

3. Conduct financial reporting

  • Provide accurate and timely management reports to Executive Director for their necessary action / decision making.
  • File Audited Accounts and Annual Report to ROS, Charity Council and NCSS
  • Determine content and assemble data to prepare monthly reports for review.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports

4. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department


Education and Experience

1. Must possess a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting.

2. At least 2-5 years of work experience with a strong understanding of corporate finance functions and keeping full sets of accounts.

3. Experience in charities or social service sector preferred.
