Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the power plant, ensuring all mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and other equipment, operate within designated parameters.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues in plant equipment to prevent downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Apply knowledge of thermodynamics in the optimization and operation of plant equipment, ensuring efficient energy conversion and heat transfer processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards, ensuring all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Document and report operational data, equipment performance, and any incidents or anomalies observed during shifts.
- Work closely with other technical officers, engineers, and plant operators to ensure coordinated and smooth plant operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 1 – 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the power / process plant
- Able to work shift hours
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
