Position Summary
As the Senior Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing financial management and reporting for offshore and onshore entities. Key duties include managing the monthly close process, consolidating the financial statements, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. Additionally, this role involves managing cash flows, intercompany loans, audits, M&A transaction accounting & PPA assessments, while also providing guidance and support to onshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the monthly financial close process for multiple offshore and onshore entities.
- Review monthly, semi-annual and annual accounts of all Vena Energy related entities, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with company policies and IFRS.
- Manage the monthly consolidation process for various entities.
- Oversee cash balances and funds flows for working capital and investment requirements.
- Administer intercompany loans, including drawdown, interest accrual, repayments, etc.
- Ensure timely clearance of intercompany advances on monthly basis.
- Assist with the annual GST remission filings and annual corporate tax filings prepared by tax consultant to ensure timely submissions.
- Manage and coordinate the semi-annual and annual review/audit for the various Holdcos and SGCos.
- Liaise and Interface with the accounting teams in the offshore offices.
- Respond to investor enquiries and requests for financial information.
- Provide financial analysis and information as requested by the business.
- Offer coaching and support to onshore teams, addressing queries and enhancing the reporting processes.
- Conduct detailed reviews of onshore books, identifying areas for improvement to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.
- Support managers in implementing templates and policies for process improvements across the Group, aiming to enhance reporting quality.
- Assist in M&A transaction accounting, PPA assessments, and technical accounting research.
- Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA Singapore
- Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a consolidation role
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
- Proficiency in consolidation, full set of accounts and drafting financial statements
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Anaplan is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective at working with diverse stakeholders and teams.
