Responsibilities:
- Provide value-adding audit and business insights from data analysis using data analytic tools.
- Support routine data analytics (DA) using tools such as SQL, Python, Databricks and Tableau, as well as from advanced analytics, such as unsupervised and semi-supervised machine learning to detect unusual or anomalous patterns.
- Support ad-hoc or specialised assignments as needed.
- Support the maintenance of data in the GIA Datamart.
- Support audit engagements by scripting of data analysis procedures in SQL or Python using Databricks or Tableau platform, focusing on key risks and/or controls specific to the audit processes in scope, and uncovering meaningful insights for the audit team and management.
- Support audits within the organisation in accordance with the annual audit plan approved by the Group and Local Audit Committee.
- Prepare the working papers, draft audit reports, and other deliverables to meet internal standards and assignments are completed within budgeted time.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Major in Computer Science/ Data Analytics or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Minimum one year of data analysis and/or programming experience.
- Internal/external audit experience in the insurance, financial or a related industry would be an advantage.
Knowledge:
- Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, data processing, data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) is essential.
- Proficient in Machine Learning techniques, such as unsupervised machine learning, graph analytics is preferred.
- Knowledge of spark/Databricks is preferred.
- Strong project management and organisation skills.
- Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, problem solving, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
