The Westin Singapore is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive (Room Sales) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling hotel room accommodations to corporate clients and individual guests. You will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, identify and pursue new business opportunities, and ensure that the hotel’s revenue targets are met.


As a Sales Executive (Room Sales), you will be tasked to:


  • Contact appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve guest calls, requests, or problems.
  • Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling.
  • Conduct site inspection and negotiations to secure new business leads
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Set and track sales goals and performance metrics.
  • Handle contracts, agreements, and other documentation related to sales.
  • Attend to guest enquiries prompty, in line with The Westin Brand standards
  • Work closely with the hotel’s operations team to ensure seamless execution of guest experiences.
  • Determine and arrangement amenities to guests to value guests for their patronage.
  • Promote awareness of The Westin Singapore's brand image internally and externally.
  • Process requests for redeeming Marriott Bonvoy points.
  • Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
  • Enter Marriott Bonvoy information into appropriate software when taking guest reservations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and other potential business sources.
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing).
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to management.
  • Coordinate with the reservations and revenue department to manage availability and special requests.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to brand standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Monitor the performance of others to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
