We are looking for a Group Sales Director in the events sales world, renowned for organizing world-class exhibitions and events that connects businesses. Responsible for expanding the team, you’ll spearhead the sales strategies and elevate exhibition offerings to new heights.


Job Summary:


As the Group Sales Director, you will be at the forefront of our sales operations, responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing sales team. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the exhibition portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for exhibitions and related events.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear objectives and providing guidance to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Sales Development: Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and industry engagement.
  • Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of exhibitions, from planning through to delivery.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Monitor sales performance, prepare detailed reports, and provide insights on revenue forecasts and sales trends.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years experience - proven experience in a senior sales role within the exhibition or events industry, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
