Internal Audit Executive

The Internal Audit Executive is responsible for conducting audit fieldwork and assessing internal controls as outlined in the Annual Audit Plan. This role involves planning and executing audit assignments, preparing detailed workpapers, and drafting audit reports. The Internal Audit Executive will also develop recommendations for process improvements, ensure timely follow-up on audit findings, and stay updated on relevant regulations and standards.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct audit fieldwork on internal control and risk management as per the Annual Audit Plan.
  • Plan, execute and manage audit assignments with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate audit workpapers that clearly describe the work performed, test results and conclusions reached.
  • Develop preliminary findings and actionable recommendations to enhance the internal control and risk management processes.
  • Assist in organizing meetings with auditees for audit assignments.
  • Prepare the initial draft of audit report, summarizing key findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Monitor and ensure prompt follow-up on all audit findings raised.
  • Keep abreast of the current developments in laws, regulations, standards, policies and procedures, and communicate relevant information to the audit team.
  • Perform additional duties related to audit and compliance as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance, IT or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CA or CIA are advantageous.
  • At least 1-2 years working experiences in auditing, internal control, risk management or other related business experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications (e.g. MS office, SharePoint).
  • Familiar with Tableau analytics software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes, both locally and internationally.
