Job Responsibilities:
• Hands-on experience in Indian cuisine is preferred.
• Responsible for day-to-day kitchen operation (Indian section).
• Prepare, cook and serve a variety of items in accordance with menus.
• Ensure food should be presented, preparation and service must up to par in the kitchen.
• Knowledge of Indian spices and cooking tools.
• A multi-skilled Chef with good all-round food preparation and catering expertise.
• Capable with a track record of dealing with all kitchen, canteen and culinary related issues.
• A proven ability to react in areas that require immediate attention and ensuring that all food is always presented to the highest possible standards.
• Ambitious and seeking to continually broaden knowledge of food, cutting edge cuisine, and overall event presentation.
Job Requirements:
• Must have at least 8 years experience in Hotel environment
• Substantial background in working with Tandoor and preparing north Indian Curries
• Specialty dishes include Tandoori Chicken, Kebabs, Indo Chinese dishes
• Familiar with Indian culinary cooking methods, products and techniques
• Strong background in Indian influenced practices utilized in the culture and cuisine
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback
