Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance activities including monthly closing, statutory audit and reporting as well as corporate and withholding tax matters. You will play a key finance business partnering role with both internal and external stakeholders in all contract management, budgeting exercises and supporting key finance decisions. This position will be based in Singapore.
What will you do
- Lead and manage the Finance team.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and accounting records in accordance with corporate guidelines, corporate timelines and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Manage financial forecasting, budgeting and preparation of group financial reporting, group consolidation and internal controls.
- Ensure statutory compliance, liaising with external and internal auditors.
- Responsible for cost center controlling activities, including reporting and variance analysis on cost and profit between actual and budget.
- Review monthly journal and balance sheet reconciliations, checking and ensuring proper accounting treatment, completeness and accuracy.
- Work closely with a global team responsible for assisting with the closing process and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Manage GST reporting and payroll processing.
- Lead continuous improvements in reporting, compliance and adherence with controls, group-wide accounting policies and external regulations.
- Assist in long-range planning activities and help in developing key systems for financial planning and analysis.
- Lead, secure and manage funding initiatives with Singapore government agencies.
- Help to resolve complex financial issues and provide meaningful financial analysis to management.
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
What do we expect
- BA/MA degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in similar position in an international environment
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
- Extensive experience in group reporting and consolidation.
- Strong analytical skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of GST, IRAS and payroll processes.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of SAP a benefit.
- Prepare and maintain group sales reports, analyze the sales performance of the segments and markets.
- Responsible for the group subscription reports, analyzing the subscription sales performance of the segments and markets.
