Support business applications and platforms for the “Save, Protect and Growth my Investment (SPGI)” Stream, especially in the area of “Self-Inform about Instrument and Markets (SIIM)”, our applications like PSRE, SICORE, Quotes, Market Data System, Product Inventory, …. are key to ensure the production quality and stability of different business critical streams and applications like Trading, Financing and many more - Support along the business process and across several technical domains for external and internal interfaces for banks, financial intermediaries, retail and other important wealth management clients segments. Analyze incident impact, identify probable cause and define workarounds, drive problem management and continual improvement of business applications and processes
- Ensure coordination and communication by upholding high incident and problem management standards for a timely issue resolution, you uphold a knowledge database and contribute your subject matter expertise of supported IT products and services to stakeholders
- Implement improvements on application monitoring, statistics and telemetry
- Develop as part of your role new key features to improve your and the teams daily and repetitive work (eliminate toil)
- Act as the glue between the business and IT development to keep the lights on in the production environment as support and an opportunity to progress into IT development area
Your team:
You'll be working in an application support team in Zürich. The team is responsible for key application support of a number of Portfolio Management, Trading, Settlement and Product and Market Data related applications and ensures application availability as well as data quality for our end client but as well for other banks and businesses which use our application and platform. Client and Business contact is one of our key services, we are strong in collaboration with others and support and provide a sustainable service as one together. With insights into application design, functionality and the underlying technology stack and databases, we solve issues along agreed service levels and continuously drive product improvements on operational aspects. The team frequently optimizes and automates its working environment with a broad set of IT tools to increase service quality and efficiency.
Your expertise:
- Degree holder with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in ORACLE/Postgres, Websphere/Tomcat, ETL Tools like Informatica
- Proficient with monitoring tools, such as APPDYNAMICS, SPLUNK etc.
- Experience in development or support of wealth management or other banking domain applications
- Preferable knowledge on Azure Cloud
- Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
- Track record of influencing senior IT stakeholders and business partners
