Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Prepare budget and cost control monitoring to ensure the project cost is within the allocated budget
2. Prepare and analyze cost comparison
3. Prepare, evaluate, and recommend on the award of Sub-contractors
4. Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
5. Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement, and sub-contractor payments
6. Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
7. To negotiate on pricing
8. To handle any adhoc duties and tasks assigned
9. To participate in supporting work on all evaluation findings and project results to HQ Tokyo in Japan on regular
basis
Requirements:
1. Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Construction, Building or Equivalent
2. Minimum 12 years working experience in QS Department in the construction industry
3. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
4. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese is necessary as the incumbent will be required to communicate and
collaborate with counterparts in Japan, Tokyo Head Office including monthly accounts progress report
5. Capable of translating reports from English to Japanese or vice versa.
