About the Role:
Our client, a leading bank with a strong presence in the global market, is seeking a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager to join their Corporate Banking Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and deepening relationships with corporate clients, ensuring that credit and business opportunities align with the bank’s risk acceptance criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify specific business opportunities while ensuring that new transactions and credit renewals meet the bank’s credit risk acceptance criteria.
• Develop a relationship management strategy to deepen, maintain, or exit the relationship.
• Prepare credit proposals and renewals in a concise and timely manner, highlighting major risks and mitigants.
• Perform KYC for new customers before establishing a business relationship, and conduct periodic reviews of existing customers in line with bank-wide requirements.
• Assist with AML/CFT manual tasks.
• Monitor credit risk of outstanding exposures and ensure timely adjustments to obligor credit ratings.
• Maintain close and continuous contact with customers and target customers while monitoring the industries in which they operate.
• Proactively manage deteriorating credits.
• Identify potential cross-sell opportunities to maximize business returns.
• Identify cross-border business opportunities with mainland ICBC branches and overseas ICBC branches for joint collaboration.
• Conduct frequent marketing visits and submit call reports.
• Perform any other duties required by the department or assigned by your supervisor or Management.
Job Requirements:
1. A recognized bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Business, Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
2. At least 5 years of relevant experience as a relationship manager in a corporate banking environment.
3. Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise effectively with Chinese-speaking clients.
4. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders across multiple departments. Must be proactive, energetic, results-oriented, and possess strong business acumen.
