Astek has an opening of a Data Modeler role to be based in Singapore for one of our long term project.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with research analysts, data engineers, and scientists to implement and support data solutions for the data lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, distribution).
- Design validation: Contribute to and validate the design of data solutions to meet business and operational requirements.
- Operational management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including metadata collation and system data analysis (e.g., data quality, service usage).
- Data access control: Ensure data compliance with governance and handling standards.
- Center of Excellence: Define standards, best practices, and workflows for data lifecycle services; ensure smooth operation and compliance.
- Incident management: Monitor, investigate, and resolve operational issues; provide user support and advisory.
- Continuous improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in data lifecycle processes.
- Stakeholder management: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders for ongoing support and to address future data lifecycle needs.
Requirements:
- Relevant Experience: At least 3 years in data management or analytics, preferably in the investment sector.
- Data Expertise: Strong grasp of data management principles, integration, and distribution.
- Technical Skills: Experience in Data Modeling, Python, Java, SQL.
- Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with data virtualization tools, e.g., Denodo, is advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and thoroughness in operational tasks.
- Solution Skills: Ability to design, implement solutions, and review code.
- Communication Skills: Excellent at both written and verbal communication.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Agile and quick to learn new technologies.
- Team Collaboration: Effective team player with strong problem-solving skills.
- Methodology Experience: Experience with SDLC and/or Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
