We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Head of Business Intelligence. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that drives business growth, improves operational efficiency, and enhances decision-making across the organization. The Head of Business Intelligence will lead a team of business analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Your new role
As a Head of BI, you will be responsible for:
- Develop a comprehensive business intelligence strategy that aligns with the organization's overall goals and objectives. Identify opportunities to leverage business intelligence to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance decision-making.
- Lead a team of business analysts, data scientists, and IT professionals to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. Collaborate with IT to ensure data management best practices are followed.
- Oversee the development of business intelligence solutions, including data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and data visualization. Ensure solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand their business intelligence needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. Provide training and support to stakeholders to ensure they can effectively use business intelligence solutions.
- Develop and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of business intelligence solutions. Monitor and analyze metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize business intelligence solutions accordingly.
- Develop and manage the business intelligence budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet business objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business intelligence. Apply this knowledge to continuously improve business intelligence solutions and strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business intelligence strategies and solutions.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
- Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies, such as data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and data visualization.
- Strong understanding of data governance and management best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
