Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business and system requirements.
- Translate requirements into detailed test plans, ensuring alignment with business needs and project goals.
- Develop and document clear, targeted test cases based on Business Requirements, current system functionality, and Functional Specifications/Narratives.
- Define comprehensive test scenarios and data variations for thorough end-to-end testing.
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, continuously refining QA processes to incorporate best practices for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct thorough testing of multiple functionalities, documenting results and capturing end-to-end testing steps.
- Submit defects and issues to development for correction, and retest resolved issues according to established procedures.
- Track defects and perform causal analysis until resolution.
- Ensure testing is completed on schedule.
- Collaborate closely with the development team and business users throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and reduce redundancies, minimize complexity, and create efficiency without compromising effectiveness.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, handling tight deadlines and changing priorities effectively.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating with end users and gathering feedback.
- Engage with vendors, product owners, and end users within the organization.
- Assist the Test Manager in overseeing testing activities.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in software Quality Assurance, preferably within the banking domain.
- 1 year of experience in a Business Analyst role or demonstrated capability in performing BA functions.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
- Experience with JIRA, SQL, and API testing.
- Experience in Test Automation.
- Advanced knowledge of test methodologies and approaches.
