We are looking to hire a Market Data Client Business Support in Singapore to support market data operations for our client, a top global investment bank. Candidates for this role are required to have specialized skills and industry expertise to effectively perform the following tasks:

As a member of the Business Support team within the Market Data Technology & Services team, the candidate would be responsible for Market Data expense management, inventory management, request management, and the fulfillment of business/client Market Data requests. Overseeing daily activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards, procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g. declarations to Exchanges, client inquiries, fulfillment of a market data request, invoice reconciliation and payment). Create and implement new processes/procedures to improve operating efficiency and ensure timeliness/accuracy of workflow. Modify existing procedures, analyze and resolve non-routine and/or complex operational problems. Become involved in a variety of business driven or Market Data driven projects. Candidates for the Market Data Client Business Support (BS) position require specialist skills and expertise to effectively manage the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Control

  • Ensure invoices reconcile correctly with Market Data inventory and service agreements.
  • Process payments in a timely manner.
  • Good understanding of local VAT policies and staying abreast of any changes. Fulfillment of any required tax documents according to tax regulations.
  • Ensure all accounts are created under the correct business entity to adhere to tax and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Appian an advantage

Inventory Management / Fulfillment of Market Data requests

  • Clear and effective communication skills to efficiently provide clients/front office users with requested Market Data services to ensure timely delivery of data.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Calero MDSL, from the back-end tables to front office interface to support the application, maintenance of the inventory and automated invoice processing.
  • Update Market Data inventory with contractual terms, contracted price changes, service amendments and set-ups including one-time.
  • Manage inventory and reporting for all applications and invoice allocations.
  • Undertake regular sanity checks and clean-up to retain accuracy of the Market Data inventory.
  • Close collaboration with internal COOs and external vendors around data provisioning and access control
  • Provide daily support to Market Data Business Advisory team

Reporting Management / Declaration to Exchanges

  • Be aware of Exchange declaration and reporting policies
  • Ensure required declarations are submitted accurately and in a timely manner
  • Understand how to navigate LSEG Data Notifications.

Key Requirements

  • Understand the financial and banking industry with particular knowledge of the Asia markets
  • Working knowledge of Business Objects, and the Microsoft suite or products; Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn quickly, driven to deliver results.
  • Effective and efficient communication skills to provide excellent service experience for users.
  • Consistent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision of work.
  • MDSL product suite knowledge and hands-on experience. Prior related experience in the industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and professional environment.
