Job Objective/s
- Sets direction and drives for product improvement to maintain product relevance and competitiveness in our market .
- Provide guidance and oversight to the product engineering group. Provide support to sales and marketing.
- Drive and achieve total customer satisfaction. Sets system and ensure adherence for smooth transition of product from NPI stage to volume production
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Develop continuous product road mapping in collaboration with CTO
a. Survey market and competition, set and get approval for product roadmaps
b. Define and get approval for product development/improvement plan
2. Set and execute improvement goals for product engineering group to be in line with company objectives
a. Assign improvement projects to product engineers and ensure on time completion of projects
b. Plays a facilitating role to the product engineers to enable smooth completion of assigned projects
3. Set and achieve customer satisfaction index
a. Develop and maintain customer survey forum to gather customer feedback on customer product requirements
b. Seek regular customer feedback for product requirements and attain total customer satisfaction
4. Lead in product customization projects
a. Plays the role of chief architect in product customization projects with consultation with CTO
b. Form team and drive for timely completion of customization projects that meet customer specifications
5. Set and ensure seamless transition of NPI product to manufacturing
a. Setup and ensure adherence to system for products to be transitioned from NPI to manufacturing
b. Ensure proper transfer from NPI to product engineering for subsequent product support
6. Technical Marketing
a. Survey market with direction from CTO and inputs from Sales and Marketing
b. Identify new growth markets and target companies to market DLS products
c. Identify existing DLS products for growth markets/ propose new products to target markets/companies
d. Generate materials for target marketing for the identified markets/companie
All other duties reasonably assigned.
Qualification Guidelines
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 15 years’ working experience with technical background in optoelectronics, technical and marketing application sales in optical component, photonics device system and sub-system.
- Electrical-mechanical sensor experience an added advantage for alternate marketing skill set. Silicon photonics and LED product line management experience.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Knowledge of market research, Familiar with CRM & ERP System
- Can communicate in English fluently
- Understand the basic business policies and terminology.
