Head of Production responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process within the facility.
We have a foreign client who has set up a Oleo chemical plant there, producing fatty acids, fatty alcohol, glycerine, and RBD from coconut oil. They are looking for a strong Head of Production.
This place is about 8 hrs drive from Manila.
They have other offices in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, China.
Position Overview:
The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process within the facility. The plant produces fatty alcohols, acids, glycerine, and refined coconut oil. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in oleochemical production, and a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
o Proven experience of at least 8 years and senior leadership experience within chemical manufacturing, ideally oleochemicals (specifically fatty alcohol if possible)
o Strong technical expertise in oleochemical processes including refining, hydrogenation, esterification, and distillation.
o Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels.
o Excellent problem solving ability with data-driven foundation.
o Leadership in both work and conduct.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production Management
o Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet operational goals and customer demands.
o Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
o Optimize production efficient through continuous improvement initiatives and effective resource utilization.
o Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, maintenance, and quality control to resolve production issues and improve plant performance.
· Team Leadership
o Lead all departments and run system of reporting and accountability to ensure maximum excellence is achieved at the department level all the way up to the whole plant.
o Demonstrate leadership through action and motivate teams to reach a shared goal.
