Astek is offering a role of System Interface Manager (Traction Power Systems).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Interface Documents: Develop and manage interface documentation for various systems, including traction power equipment, SCADA, CMS, ISCS, and MMS.
- Interface Coordination: Take overall responsibility for creating and coordinating Interface Control Documents (ICD) and Interface Design Documents (IDD) for systems like rolling stock, trackwork, electrical services, communications, signaling, PSD, and others.
- Internal Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure the implementation of interface requirements and maintain clear communication.
- Customer Meetings: Attend regular meetings with customers and system-wide contractors to finalize interface requirements.
- Support Project Activities: Assist project teams with interface-related tasks and clarifications as needed.
- Value-Added Engineering: Propose and implement engineering improvements to enhance project value.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project teams, interfacing, and testing & commissioning (T&C) teams, and coordinate with various interface partners.
Requirements:
- Experience: Strong background in traction power system interfaces with at least 10 years of experience in electrification projects for MRT systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in both AC and DC electrification systems.
- Project Complexity: Experienced in managing medium to high-complexity projects.
- Local Knowledge: Familiar with local transportation operators and legal requirements.
- Adaptability: Able to work in various environments and adapt to different customer terms and conditions.
- Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the business and with customers.
