Responsibilities:
To manage and optimize mainframe networking environments, including TCP/IP, Infoprint, and z/OS Unix, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Manage setup, configuration, and maintenance of TCP/IP, Infoprint, and z/OS Unix.
- Resolve technical issues with TCP/IP, Infoprint, and Unix, liaising with IBM.
- Monitor system performance, adjust settings, and perform configuration audits regularly.
- Collaborate with application teams to enhance system designs and network efficiency.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and automation while maintaining detailed SOPs.
Skills/Requirement:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in z/OS Mainframe networking and Unix environments.
- Skilled in REXX, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and encryption protocols like AT/TLS, SSL/TLS.
- Knowledge of system libraries, parallel sysplex, and third-party mainframe software.
- Expertise in troubleshooting, system tuning, and optimizing mainframe network performance.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills, effective in team-oriented environments.
