Location: Bedok Green Secondary School, 360 Bedok North Ave 3, Singapore 469722
Contract Period:
- First Year: 2 January 2025 to 31 December 2025
- Option to Extend: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
Objective:
The Contractor shall provide one competent Part-Time Food Lab Assistant to support the running and maintenance of the school kitchen for the Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) department.
Working Hours:
- Normal Working Hours: 7:30am to 12:30pm OR 8:30am to 1:30pm (without lunch break), Monday to Friday.
- Additional Working Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm for 10 school days during exam periods (inclusive of 45-minute lunch break).
- Ad-hoc Basis: Support during school holidays in June, November, and December for practical lessons.
Scope of Services:
- Daily Duties:General cleaning of kitchen areas.
Preparation of food.
Assisting teachers during cookery and NFS theory lessons.
- Weekly Duties (preferably Fridays):Cleaning of cookers, ovens, and sinks.
Clearing fridges of unwanted or spoiled food.
Wiping shelves and general maintenance of kitchen.
- Additional Duties:Assisting in stock take and other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer or Teacher-In-Charge.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential Qualifications:Ability to communicate in English effectively to support teachers in practical lessons.
- Preferred Experience:Experience working in a school environment as a Nutrition & Food Science Food Lab Assistant.
