Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE, Firewall & IEE)

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer on a 12 Month extendable contract basis.

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, designing, engineering, implementing, and supporting advanced network security solutions. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and understanding of business needs to create and deploy secure network infrastructures. Proficiency in Cisco ISE, advanced router/switch configurations, 802.11 standards, and third-party security controls is crucial for this role.

You will frequently collaborate with experts both domestically and internationally, so strong communication skills are essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy security solutions for Network Access Control, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, Proxies, DLP, DDoS, and Malware inspection solutions.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Cisco ISE and IEEE 802.1x standards.
  • Manage and integrate Cisco ISE with HPE/Aruba and other third-party network security controls such as Bluecoat, Fortigate, Checkpoint, Juniper, F5 ASM, Cisco, or FireEye.
  • Configure, deploy, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and components in medium to large business environments.
  • Utilize Cisco ACS RADIUS and TACACS for access control.
  • Apply knowledge of Private Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Certificate Authority.
  • Diagnose and address problem areas, providing solutions and workarounds as needed.
  • Analyze technical requirements and design solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborate effectively with remote teams, including onsite and offshore stakeholders.
  • Architect complex enterprise cybersecurity solutions and manage project milestones to ensure timely delivery.
  • Address firewall lockdowns and develop Splunk 'Search' module code.
  • Architect Fortinet Firewall policies and conduct network traffic analysis.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a security or engineering role.
  • Extensive experience in designing and deploying security solutions for Network Access Control and other security measures.
  • Expertise in Cisco ISE, IEEE 802.1x, and third-party network security controls.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network equipment.
  • Experience with Cisco ACS RADIUS, TACACS, PKI, and Certificate Authorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design solutions based on technical requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams and manage projects across various locations.
  • Detailed knowledge of firewall engineering, Splunk code development, and Fortinet Firewall policies.
