Project contract based (start from 29 Jan, estimated 27 months until project completion)
Position: Safety Officer
- Work Location: Changi Naval Base, Project Office at Maude Rd (Geylang area)
- Working days: 6 days 8am to 5pm
- Salary: $5,000 to $7,000 (Depends on Experience)
Requirement
- Process Diploma / Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or other relevant subjects.
- Must be a MOM registered Safety Officer (Registered WSHO), ECO is an additional benefit.
- At least 3 years of experience in WSH field, preferably in construction industry.
- Able to provide hands-on support to sites as well as ability to take a strategic approach to improving EHS performance.
Job scope
- Conduct daily site inspections, risk assessments and follow-up actions to maintain high safety standard and compliance to Company’s ISO & OSHAS policies.
- Enforce all safety legislation and in-house safety rules and regulations.
- Investigate all incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
- Update and keep proper safety records, incident reports and statistics.
- Lead team in safety audits by MOM and must be able to submit all required documents.
- Identify safety hazards and implement a comprehensive site safety management system to manage risks and reduce accidents.
- Develop documentation for the Project-Risk assessment, Safe work procedures. Present safety briefings and coordinate WSH programmes
- Conduct Internal Safety related training to stakeholders
- Manage and lead a team of WSH Coordinators and WSH supervisors.
- Organize safety promotion and health campaigns, training courses
- Interacting, reporting and providing company representation to all business divisions relating to aspects of EHS affairs, compliance matters, enforcement actions, remedial activities and regulatory affairs.
- Interfacing with external professional services, customers, regulators, industry and represent company at public meetings, hearings, and perform public relations duties.
